Why do Bollywood stars prefer renting flats rather than buying property for themselves?

Many Bollywood fans think that the actors own their dream and huge houses in Mumbai, however, but that’s not actually true as many young and new actors decide to rent a flat for some reason. Some of the young celebrities do live in luxurious homes, but many others rent apartments since they find it more convenient to move whenever the need arises.

Veteran actors like Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan have their own buildings in Mumbai popularly known as ‘Mannat’ and ‘Galaxy’ respectively. But that’s not the same case with all actors as it is very difficult to pay a hectic amount altogether to purchase land or a house in Mumbai. It’s not easy to buy any property in the skyrocketing real estate prices in the city.

While many renowned stars own properties in some coveted neighbourhoods of Mumbai, not everyone is as lucky. The aspiring superstar Kartik Aryan who pays a rent of INR 7.5 Lakh per month, recently decided to buy his own property and bought a lavish apartment in the city worth INR 17.50 crore.

Many big stars prefer to rent house

Numerous actors from other cities who are relocating to Mumbai take their time purchasing real estate. The enormous price is, of course, the primary cause, but their erratic income is another. Actors frequently don’t have a fixed monthly income arriving in the form of pay cheques.

There can be hard times, therefore for some people, purchasing a property and making EMI payments might not be the greatest decision. They must set aside a sizable sum of money to purchase a property, which also affects their other expenses. One needs to set some money aside for a rainy day if their income is unpredictable. Bollywood celebs and well-known actors including Kriti Sanon, Vicky Kaushal, Katrina Kaif, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Madhuri Dixit have all rented homes.
