Johnny Depp has a new woman in his life

Johnny Depp is dating attorney Joelle Rich, who previously represented him during his U.K. libel case, according to sources.

The London-based attorney, 37, represented Depp, 59, in his UK libel case against the Sun back in 2020.

Joelle Rich showed up to support Johnny Depp during his recent trial

Despite not having any official role in the movie star’s victorious defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard earlier this year, Rich was photographed at the Fairfax County Courthouse in Virginia nearly every single day of the weeks-long trial that ran from April 11 to June 1.

According to a report, Depp is dating a London-based lawyer, who was previously married but is in the process of finalizing her divorce. One media report said that both Depp and his new love have incredible ‘chemistry’ between them and ‘it’s serious between them.’ “They are the real deal,” claimed a report by Page Six.

“There was no professional obligation for her being there. It was personal,” the source tells Us, adding that the duo “discreetly” met up in hotels during the early stages of their romance.

The insider notes that Rich was married when she met Depp but is now divorcing her husband. She and her estranged spouse share two children.

Johnny Depp was earlier linked with a different lawyer Camille Vasquez

During his defamation trial against Heard, 36, rumors swirled that the Hollywood Star was dating a different lawyer: Camille Vasquez, who was one of the attorneys representing him in that case. She later slammed “sexist” speculation about her relationship with Depp.

“It’s also an unethical charge being made,” Vasquez told People in June. “It’s unfortunate and it’s disappointing, but at the same time, it kind of comes with the territory. I can’t say I was all that surprised.”

Prior to Depp’s relationship with his lawyer, the actor was married to Amber Heard from 2015 to 2017. Following 15 months of marriage, the actress filed for divorce and obtained a temporary restraining order after she accused the Kentucky native of domestic violence.

Johnny Depp’s defamation trial to be the subject of a new film

The infamous defamation trial is to be the subject of a new film and has been “fast-tracked” into production. Melissa Marty has been cast as Johnny’s lawyer, Camille Vasquez, while Marry Carrig will portray Elaine Bredehoft, who served as Amber’s attorney.

Sara Lohman will direct from a script by Guy Nicolucci.

Adam Lewinson, Chief Content Officer, Tubi, said in a statement: “With our partners at MarVista, this Tubi Original was fast-tracked into production to capture a timely take on a story that became part of the cultural zeitgeist, painting a unique picture of what millions watched play out in the headlines over the summer.”
