WATCH: YouTube sensation ‘IShowSpeed’ mistakes Shah Rukh Khan for popular Indian cricketer in ‘Jawan’ trailer
Shah Rukh Khan has become the talk of the town for all the exciting reasons ever since the producers of Jawan released the official teaser. After making a comeback to the big screen with Siddharth Anand’s Pathaan, Shah Rukh will assume the action persona once more for Atlee’s film. Nayanthara, a star in her native Southern India, will make her Bollywood debut in this movie, which also stars Vijay Sethupathi and Deepika Padukone. While Bollywood’s A-listers praise the first rushes, we recently came across a YouTube video where SRK is mistaken for Virat Kohli.
‘IShowSpeed’ is the stage name of the well-known American YouTuber in question. In a recent video that he posted to his YouTube channel, he can be seen giving his thoughts on the film’s trailer. However, his shout of “Virat Kohli” upon spotting SRK is what has garnered the attention of users online.
Here’s the video:
IShowSpeed was heavily trolled by SRK fans for his mistake
ScoopWhoop Instagram posted the video, which begins with the YouTuber reacting in a peculiar but entertaining way when the Jawan trailer plays. He quickly became the target of jokes, though, after mistaking the superstar for Virat Kohli. During the preview, the YouTuber can be seen stopping SRK’s scene and yelling “Virat Kohli.”
Immediately after the videos went viral, Shah Rukh Khan’s followers in particular trolled ‘Speed’. In response to the video, one person wrote, “Lol. Typical Americans, never coming out of their Hollywood cacoon before judging other world cinema,” while another said, “Bro thinks Virat Kohli has 1.2 billion copies.” A third user commented, “The same way I reacted to his name! “Ishow…wtf??” “Iske jaisa Chumtiya Nigga maine zindagi main nhi dekha,” wrote the fourth netizen. A fifth netizen joked, “Haan Virat Kohli hai..peeche anushka bi ari hai.”
Talking of Virat Kohli, the Indian batter is expected to be in action in the multi-format tour of the West Indies. The tour includes two Tests, three ODIs, and five T20Is. It starts with the first Test on July 12, Wednesday. This is the two team’s first shot at getting off the mark in the World Test Championship 2023-25.
