Sandeep Reddy Vanga has reacted to the statement of Javed Akhtar on his filmmaking. The director of ‘Animal’ was asked about his opinion on the statement of Javed in a recent interview. Sandeep expressed his disappointment and claimed that Akhtar made comments about his movie without watching the movie itself. Sandeep added what he could say about those commenting without watching the movie.

“It’s very clear in that comment that he did not see the entire film. Now, if someone is talking without watching the film, what can I say about them?” asked the director of ‘Animal‘. He then added that he feels bad about the opinions that are being formulated not as a criticism of the movie, but because of the statements that are made even without watching the movie.

He then pointed out that Javed’s son (Farhan Akhtar) was promoting works similar to ‘Animal’. Sandeep asked Javed to see the work of his son at first place and then make a comment on ‘Animal’. “You feel bad because it is very clear that he has not seen the film and not only about him, anybody who is throwing stones at an artwork, why don’t they check their surroundings first?” asked Vanga.

Why is he not checking his son’s work?’ – Sandeep Reddy Vanga

In his statement, Sandeep pointed out the fact that ‘Mirzapur’ was produced by Farhan Akhtar. He added that the show had abuses he had heard all his life in a single show and claimed to have not watched the entire show. Sandeep felt that watching it in Telugu was like puking. Sandeep went on to ask Javed Akhtar why he did not question the choices of his son.

“Why didn’t he tell the same thing to Farhan Akhtar when he was producing ‘Mirzapur’. Duniya bhar ke gaali Mirzapur ek show mai hai and I haven’t watched the whole show. When the show was translated to Telugu, if you watch that, then you will feel like puking. Why is he not checking his son’s work?” asked Sandeep.
