It has been a tough few weeks for Shoaib Malik on and off the field. The former Pakistan skipper is currently playing in PSL 2024 for Karachi Kings. The 41-year-old had recently gotten married for a third time to actress Sana Javed.

Sana Javed was attending the Pakistan Super League match when Karachi Kings took on Multan Sultans. The crowd started calling out Sania Mirza’s name as Sana Javed turned around. The actress could only give out a wave to the fans while sitting on the sidelines.

Shoaib Malik also made it to the headlines by bowling three no-balls during the Bangladesh Premier League. This action led to many speculating if the league was witnessing something fishy going on. The BPL contract of Shoaib Malik will be cut short as he makes his way back to Pakistan.

Shoaib Malik scores fifty as Karachi Kings lose yet again –

It wasn’t the greatest start to the PSL campaign for Shoaib Malik and Karachi Kings. In their very first match of the tournament, they lost to Multan Sultans by 55 runs. It has been a tough few years for Karachi in the League as they have been on the losing end.

Reeza Hendricks became the top scorer with 79 runs while Dawid Malan scored 52. Kushdil Shah scored 28 not out to help Multan Sultans reach 185 runs on the board. The former Pakistan skipper bowled two overs and gave away ten runs without picking a wicket.

Shan Masood began well for Karachi as he scored 30 while James Vince and Saad Baig fell early. The onus was on Shoaib Malik to score runs, which he was able to uphold. The right-handed batter scored 53 runs from 35 balls with five fours and two sixes in his knock. Kieron Pollard tried his best to help his side mount a fight but Multan bowlers held onto a win.

The next game for Karachi Kings is on Wednesday when they take on Peshawar Zalmi. The second game of the day will witness Multan Sultans take on Lahore Qalandars. Shaheen Afridi and his side are the defending champions of the tournament. On Monday, Lahore had lost to Quetta to suffer a stuttering start to their season with 2 losses in a row.
