Ravindra Jadeja has been a star for India across formats. The 35-year-old all-rounder has been a crucial member of the squad over the years. He is currently a part of the Test side that is playing against England at home. The all-rounder was out of the 2nd Test due to an injury but will be making a comeback in the 3rd Test. Ahead of the game, a father-son duel has been viral on social media.

The video of Jadeja’s father, Mr. Anirudhsinh Jadeja, has been viral and he has alleged his connection with his son has changed drastically after the Team India all-rounder married Rivaba. He blames Rivaba for causing a breakdown in the family. He also admitted that he regrets making his son a cricketer.

According to the video, their family was living a better and healthier life before his son’s marriage to Rivaba. Jaddu’s wife is an MP for the BJP’s Jamnagar (north) seat in the 2022 Gujarat Assembly Elections. On the other side, the famous all-rounder’s sister, Naynaba, is affiliated with the Congress Party. The family-political conflict might have just taken a new turn and why his father has given the interview.

Here’s the video:

I have some land in my village: Anirudhsinh Jadeja

His father said, “I have some land in my village. I manage my expenses from the ₹20,000 pension of my wife. I live alone in a 2BHK flat. I have a house-help who cooks for me. I am living my life on my own terms. Even in my 2BHK flat, there is still a separate room for Ravindra. We have worked very hard to make Ravindra a cricketer. I used to carry 20-litre milk cans on my shoulder to earn money. I have even worked as a watchman. We come from a humble background. His sister has done even more than me. She took care of him as a mother. However, he hasn’t kept any relations with his sister either.”

“I have absolutely no relation with Ravindra and his wife, Rivaba. We don’t call them, and they don’t call us. The issues started after two or three months of their marriage. I currently live alone in Jamnagar, while Ravindra resides in a separate bungalow of his own. He lives in the same city, but I don’t get to see him. I don’t know what magic his wife has done on him.”
