WATCH: Raj Kundra gets emotional during UT69 trailer launch

Former Rajasthan Royals co-owner Raj Kundra got emotional during the trailer launch of UT69. Notably, he was in jail due to pornographic film making, that is illegal in India. Kundra was booked under sections 420 (cheating), 34 (common intention), 292 and 293 (related to obscene and indecent advertisements and displays) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) besides sections of the IT Act and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act. Kundra was granted bail in September 2021 after Mumbai Police filed a chargesheet against him.

Meanwhile, during this time in jail, he was subjected to media trail in parallel to the trial in court. During the trailer launch, he mentioned the same in a media interaction “Mujhe bolo jo bolna hai yaar, meri biwi, mere bachcho aur mere family pe mat jao yaar. Kya bigada hai aap logon ka?”

Notably, this wasn’t his only crime in his life. Apparently, 10 years back, he and his wife, Shilpa Shetty, who also happens to be a former Bollywood actress. The duo were the co-owners of the 2008 IPL winners with the share of 11 percent. Meanwhile, due to their match-fixing and betting related offensed, that were found out in 2013, both were kicked out from the team in 2014
