India and Nepal clashed against each other in the first Quarterfinal match of the Asian Games 2023 T20 Men’s cricket tournament in Hangzhou on Tuesday, September 3. The Men in Blue displayed a magnificent batting performance and started their Asian Games 2023 campaign with a 23-run victory. 

Meanwhile, during the 1st innings of the match, Nepal‘s speedster Karan KC stole the spotlight with a delivery that left fans, players, and experts in awe. Facing off against India’s rising star, Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was already riding high with an amazing batting display, Karan KC unleashed a unique and unpredictable delivery that sent shockwaves through the cricketing world.

The momentous incident occurred during the 8th over of the first innings when Jaiswal was steadily building a strong innings. Karan KC approached the crease with an air of confidence. As he released the ball, it bounced extra and moved away to surprise Jaiswal. And what was more interesting was that the bowler delivered that from well behind the stumps.

Talking about the match, India won the toss and opted to bat first. Ruturaj Gaikwad’s decision proved right as he and Jaiswal stitched a massive 103-run stand for the first wicket. Jaiswal was all guns blazing from the beginning while Gaikwad was slow and playing to protect his wicket. 

Jaiswal smashed a brilliant century and played a 100-run knock off just 49 balls and in the end, Rinku Singh provided a brilliant finish to help India achieve a monumental total of 202 runs. Chasing the target, Nepal were restricted to the score of 179 runs with the brilliant bowling display by Avesh Khan and Ravi Bishnoi who picked up 3 wickets each.
