MS Dhoni is known as one of the most celebrated cricketers of all time in India among fans. Hence, fans always look to have a glimpse of the former Team India skipper. Now, a video went viral where Dhoni was seen celebrating the Ganesh Chaturthi in Mumbai. Seeing that, fans shared their views on social media.

Dhoni won the IPL 2023 while playing for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and it was his fifth IPL trophy. However, he is expected to play one more season in that tournament in 2024 for his fans, as he expressed after the final. Recently, Dhoni underwent surgery on his injured knee and now, is on rehabilitation.

Meanwhile, recently in a Q&A session on AB de Villiers’ 360 show, a fan asked the former Protea batter who’s a better finisher between him and Dhoni. In reply, de Villiers said: “Obviously me (laughs). No, I would say definitely MS Dhoni. I love watching him play. The things he has pulled off in the past… I think of that 2011 World Cup – hitting that straight six to win the World Cup. That will be engraved in my mind forever. MS has done it so many times in all formats of the game.”

He further added that apart from being a fantastic cricketer, MS Dhoni is a fantastic person, a fantastic man. De Villiers also called him as a great role model for all cricketers around the globe. “There’s always been a big debate over who’s the best finisher – me or him? We can settle it now – I say MS is the best finisher. I am very happy to give credit where credit is due. For CSK in the T20s and IPL and for India in all formats of the game – just a fantastic person, just a fantastic man. A great role model for all cricket players around the world,” AB de Villiers concluded.
