MS Dhoni loves being a commoner in his hometown. A recent video of the former India captain shows him asking for directions to Ranchi from some roadside fans he met on the way. The cricketer is sitting in his car and is asking for directions in his ‘Jharkhandi’ accent just like any common man would. He confirms his directions, clicks a few selfies with the fans, and shakes their hand before driving off.

Here’s the viral video:

Notably, MS Dhoni is currently on a break from competitive cricket. He does not play any cricket other than the IPL lately. Since the conclusion of IPL 2023, Dhoni has looked to utilise his time off to treat his knee issue. He underwent surgery in Mumbai and is right now in the recovery phase. Considerably, MS Dhoni is still active in his non-cricketing ventures. He recently produced the first film from his new production house called Dhoni Entertainment. The movie was called ‘Let’s Get Married.’

MS Dhoni is working hard to play another season of the IPL

MS Dhoni led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to their record-equalling fifth IPL title in 2023. After winning the final against Gujarat Titans, MS Dhoni hinted at his intentions to play in another season of the IPL. “If you circumstantially see, it’s the best time to announce retirement. The easy thing for me to say is thank you and retire. But the hard thing to do is to work hard for nine months and try to play one more IPL season. The body has to hold up. But the amount of love I have received from CSK fans, it would be a gift for them to play one more season,” he said.

“The way they’ve shown their love and emotion, it’s something I need to do for them. It’s the last part of my career. It started over here and full house was chanting my name. It was same thing in Chennai, but it will be good to come back and play whatever I can. The kind of cricket I play, they feel they can play that cricket. There’s nothing orthodox about it and I like to keep it simple,” he added.
