Meanwhile, talking about the team, they have played eight games and have won all of them. They are the only team to go undefeated in their last league of the tournament. Also, after the last weekend, the team will be in action for the first time. Last weekend, they beat South Africa by 243 runs. With this, they had ensured their first-place finish in the round-robin stage.
In the upcoming game, it is highly unlikely that the team will rest any of their first-choice players from the playing XI that has played since the New Zealand game. However, even if the team thinks against the tide, they might give a chance to Ishan Kishan, Prasidh Krishna, etc to get some feel of the tournament.
India will play New Zealand in the first semifinal on November 15
In the repeat of the 2019 ODI World Cup semifinal, India and New Zealand will play against each other in Mumbai on November 15. Last month, both teams played against each other, and for the first time since 2003, the Men In Blue won against their rivals by four wickets.
This time around, both teams will look to play another ODI World Cup final. While the New Zealand has played two (2015 and 2019), India have played three (1983, 2003, and 2011).
