WATCH: Here’s how Babar Azam becomes responsible for a Naseem Shah’s fangirl’s tears

A Naseem Shah fangirl was in tears, courtesy of a great knock from Babar Azam in the PSL 2024 game between Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United. The match was a roller coaster journey and had an unbelievable ending. The fans could not believe their eyes as Islamabad choked in an unreal manner in the last 15 balls of the game, which resulted in Peshawar’s win.

Batting first, Peshawar Zalmi scored 201 runs on the board. Babar Azam was fantastic with the bat and notched up his 11th T20 hundred, the second most for a batter in the format. The star batter scored 110 runs in 63 balls which included 14 fours and two sixes. With good support from the other end by Saim Ayub, Babar helped his side to get to a good total.

Chasing the target, the duo of Colin Munro and Azam Khan seemed to be in good control. The duo mixed caution with aggression and dominated the proceedings till the last 15 balls of the game. Only 21 runs were needed in the last 13 balls of the game when Azam Khan got dismissed. It was a huge moment in the game which led to an incredible collapse.

In the 19th over of the game, Arif Yaqoob stunned the chasing side by claiming three wickets and conceded only two runs. It changed the game upside down and United lost the game by eight runs in an unreal fashion. The supporters of United were in total disbelief. They could not believe what just transpired. One such fan was a girl who had come to support her favourite cricketer, Naseem Shah.

After the match, a host asked the fan about her opinion on the game. the girl started crying as soon as the question was asked. A couple of members tried to console her. When asked the reason, she claimed that Naseem did not have a good game and United lost the game, thanks to the knock of Babar. The fans could not stand the disappointment of the fangirl and trolled Babar.
