India and Pakistan are clashing against each other in the 12th match of the ongoing ODI World Cup at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday, October 14. India won the toss and elected to field first as Indin captain Rohit Sharma believes that dew will play a big role during the 2nd innings.

Meanwhile, during the first innings, the spotlight fell on an incident which happened between Hardik Pandya and Imam-ul-Haq that left fans and pundits buzzing. Pandya, India’s star all-rounder, showcased his fiery competitiveness after dismissing Imam-ul-Haq from the opposing team in the 13th over.

As Imam-ul-Haq walked back to the pavilion, Pandya couldn’t contain his emotions and offered an epic send-off, adding a dramatic touch to the intense competition, Watching the video, it can be seen that Pandya was saying ‘Thank you so much’ after he got Imam caught behind as the batter tried to drive the ball outside off. The incident took the crowd by surprise and became a defining moment of the match. 

Pakistan and India both have won their first 2 matches

Talking about the match, asked to bat first, Pakistan openers Abdullah Shafique and Imam provided a decent start to the team, however, Mohammad Siraj delivered a magnificent delivery in the 8th over to get rid of Shafique. Imam then started stitching a partnership with skipper Babar Azam.

But then it was Pandya who dismissed Imam and broke the partnership. Earlier, after losing the toss, Babar said that they also wanted to bowl first however, they have a good winning momentum of winning back-to-back 2 matches so it will boost their confidence in front of a jam-packed stadium. 

“We also wanted to bowl first. We have had good two wins, momentum and confidence is high. Jam-packed stadium, we will enjoy it. We want to be good in the field, we had a couple of good practice sessions. Same team for us.” Babar said after losing the toss.
