WATCH: Hardik Pandya reminisces old memories of his first stint with Mumbai Indians

The Mumbai Indians welcomed back Hardik Pandya to their team ahead of the IPL 2024 season. He is back to create amazing memories with his teammates.

The right-handed batter skipper stayed with the team until 2022 before being signed by the Gujarat Titans. In his first season, he won the league championship and remained there for two years. He did, however, choose to part ways with the Gujarat-based squad in order to embark on a new IPL adventure.

The sum of the all-cash exchange between the Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans will not be made public.

To celebrate their great all-rounder’s return to the den, MI posted a unique video of him. He said, “I am coming back to my home, I am coming back to my family. We created history as a team and I am looking forward to creating wonderful moments.”

Hardik Pandya added that, “Obviously the feel of coming back to Mumbai is very special for a lot of reasons. How my cricketing journey started in 2015 with MI, them noticing me in 2013. When I look back and how the whole ten-years span span has been something very special.”

He spoke about the old buddies he had during his first stint with the Mumbai Indians. He said, “I’m back! Rohit (Sharma), (Jasprit) Bumrah, Surya (Suryakumar Yadav), Ishan (Kishan), Polly (Keiron Pollard), (Lasith) Malinga, chala suru karuya (Come on, let’s begin).”

Aakash Ambani, who is a dear friend of Hardik Pandya also was delighted by the trade of the Team India all-rounder. He said, “Seeing Hardik back at Mumbai Indians makes me very happy. It is a happy homecoming. He provides great balance to any team he plays. Hardik’s first stint with the MI family was hugely successful, and we hope he achieves even more success in his second stint,”
