India wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant has turned 26 years old on October 4. On December 30 last year, he suffered a near-death experience as he escaped a massive car accident. For the next few months, he remained in the hospital and then started his recovery. A couple of months back, Pant started batting and his fitness at the National Cricket Academy, Bangalore.

Meanwhile, on his birthday, the left-hander’s IPL teammates, Prithvi Shaw, and Axar Patel celebrated Pant’s birthday among others. The former was ruled out of England’s domestic one-day cup due to a knee injury. On the other hand, Patel has been ruled out of the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023 due to injury. Meanwhile, in a video that is going viral, Patel and Shaw applied cake on Pant’s face.

Rishabh Pant is expected to make a comeback in January 2024

The former India U19 player is expected to make a comeback in the team in January next year. After his accident, and the kind of injuries he sustained, he was set to be ruled out of the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023. As it turns out, the wicketkeeper has been ruled out of the tournament. The team has replaced him with Ishan Kishan and KL Rahul as keepers.
