Talking about the match, Australia, having won the toss and elected to bat first, set a formidable target of 352 runs for India in the first innings. The Australian batters displayed exceptional skill and determination as they piled on the runs. Warner provided a cracking start to the team, leaving the Indian bowlers in disarray.

Brilliant bowling performance by Glenn Maxwell

Australia’s top-order batters batted brilliantly to set a big total for India. Mitchell Marsh was the highest scorer with 96 runs off just 84 balls, however, he couldn’t hit the century. For India, Jasprit Bumrah took the most wickets but also conceded the most runs as well. He picked up 3 wickets in his 10 overs quota but leaked 81 runs.

On the bowling front, Glenn Maxwell emerged as the hero for Australia, delivering a brilliant performance that helped restrict India to a total of 286 runs. Maxwell’s precise and disciplined bowling left the Indian batters struggling to find their rhythm, ultimately picking up 4 wickets due to which he was named Player of the Match.

While Australia’s triumph by 66 runs was undoubtedly the highlight of the match from a cricketing perspective, David Warner’s entertaining dance moves added an unforgettable touch of humour and camaraderie to the game. Australia and India will soon clash against each other in the upcoming ODI World Cup in Chennai.
