The Pakistan Cricket team is set to tour Sri Lanka for the 2-match Test series starting on July 16. With this Test series, the Men in Green’s WTC 2023-25 cycle will also start and they will surely hope to qualify for the final this time. However, they had an embarrassing run in their home last year after getting beaten by Australia and England on their home soil.

Meanwhile, ahead of the series, many players of the Pakistan cricket team were spotted at Shaheen Shah Afridi’s wedding reception on Friday, July 7. The Pakistani speedster tied the knot with the former legendary Pakistani all-rounder Shahid Afridi’s daughter, Ansha earlier this year in February.

However, the players could not attend the wedding ceremony of another Pakistani speedster Harish Rauf which was held on the same day in Islamabad. Many reports suggest that Babar Azam and co. were not allowed to travel to Islamabad due to bad weather and unavailability of the flight. Pakistan will be co-hosting the Asia Cup 2023

After the conclusion of the Test series against Sri Lanka, Pakistan will start preparing for the upcoming Asia Cup which was scheduled to be hosted by Pakistan. But India refused to travel to Pakistan due to security reasons after which the dispute between PCB and the Indian Cricket Board lasted for a long time.

However, the tournament is now set to be done in a hybrid model in which Pakistan and Bangladesh will be co-hosting the tournament. All the matches of the Indian team will be played in Sri Lanka. The much-awaited contest between the arch-rivals India and Pakistan will also take place in Sri Lanka.

Interestingly, the Pakistan cricket team will travel to India for the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023 where they will be facing the Indian team at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on October 15. Earlier, they also refused to travel to India but later changed their decision.
