WATCH: Akash Deep gets maiden wicket on Test debut against England, overstepping denies him ecstacy
In the ongoing fourth Test of the India vs England series, Akash Deep made his debut. He has replaced Jasprit Bumrah, who has been rested for the game as he has played the first three games. Meanwhile, the Bengal player has shared the new ball with Mohammed Siraj as the Three Lions won the toss and elected to bat first.
In the fourth over of the ongoing first innings, the Royal Challengers Bangalore player in the IPL managed to get through the defenses of Zak Crawley. However, much to the right-arm pacer’s disappointment, he overstepped the popping crease. Since then, the England opener, Zak Crawley has been doing well. In the seventh over, he hit three back-to-back fours and a six to Siraj.

Akash Deep finally gets his maiden wicket in Test cricket
Meanwhile, after Siraj was hit for a few boundaries, he was replaced by Ravindra Jadeja, who troubled Ben Duckett but the latter survived a DRS. On the other hand, Akash Deep kept bowling from his end. He has been finally rewarded for his good bowling as he got Duckett caught behind by Dhruv Jurel in his fifth over. Two balls later, Akash managed to trap first Test hero Ollie Pope for lbw. At the time of writing, England have lost two wickets for 47 runs with Crawley and former skipper Joe Root batting at the crease.
