WATCH: After huge backlash from social media, PCB release new promotional video featuring Imran Khan
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) released a promotional video a few days back to illustrate Pakistan’s rich cricket heritage. However, the fans were very disappointed and slammed the board for not including Pakistan’s former legendary World Cup-winning captain Imran Khan in the video.
Meanwhile, now PCB has uploaded an updated promotional video which includes the iconic moment of the 1992 World Cup. Responding to the backlash they received for the first video, PCB said that due to the length of the video, some clips were edited but now it has been rectified in the latest version of the video.

PCB should delete the video and apologise: Wasim Akram
Former legendary Pakistan fast bowler Wasim Akram took to Twitter and demanded PCB to delete the first video they uploaded. He also asked for an apology from the board. He said that political differences are different things but Imran is an iconic cricketer in the world and has transformed Pakistan cricket in a great way. Interestingly, Imran was recently sentenced to three years of jail for doing fraud during his tenure as Pakistan’s Prime Minister.
“After long flights and hours of transit before reaching Sri Lanka, I got the shock of my life when I watched PCB’s short clip on the history of Pakistan cricket minus the great Imran Khan.” Akram tweeted on Wednesday. “Political differences apart but Imran Khan is an icon of world cricket and developed Pakistan into a strong unit in his time and gave us a pathway… PCB should delete the video and apologise.” Akram said in a tweet.
