Virat Kohli has rejoined the Indian Test squad for the series against SA. The star cricketer was said to have taken leave during the intra-squad match due to a family emergency. Reports claim that he has returned to the squad and is ready for the boxing day test match against SA in Centurion. It will be the first Test of the series between India and SA.

The reports confirmed the same and revealed the fact that Virat would be good for the first Test against South Africa. The reports claimed to have communicated with the officials of the Indian cricket board, where a lot of things were revealed about the leave of Virat. The reason behind his unavailability was also revealed. Reports claim that Virat had already informed about it in advance.

“Virat Kohli wasn’t going to play that game. The team management was aware of his plan and schedule, and it isn’t something which happened overnight or due to a family emergency,” said the reports that claim to have communicated with the officials of the Indian cricket board. If what reports suggest is to be believed, Virat’s leave was pre-planned.

The reports further claimed that the leave of Kohli to spend some time with his family in London was pre-planned as well. “Look at the player in question, it’s Virat Kohli. He is very well planned when it comes to these things and his London trip was communicated and planned well in advance,” added the statement of the reports. Virat has one of the best records for a batter in SA.

Meanwhile, SA also seems to have got their strength back. The pace duo of Kagiso Rabada and Lungi Ngidi are set to play the Test series against India. The series will be crucial for the chances of both India and SA in the third cycle of the WTC. India is yet to win a Test series in SA. It is likely to drive the players to give their best performance in the series.
