Virat Kohli and Adelaide Oval share a special bond

Virat Kohli called the Adelaide Oval his “second home” and gushed about the atmosphere and environment and said it brings out the best in him. King Kohli gushed about his love of the Adelaide venue after producing a Player of the Match performance in the win over Bangladesh earlier in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. He will return to the venue for today’s semi-final against England.

“I absolutely love playing on this ground. Right from the nets at the back, as soon as I enter, it makes me feel at home. That knock at MCG was meant to be, but when I come here, it’s like I’m meant to come to Adelaide and enjoy my batting.”

Virat Kohli outside of India has scored more runs in Australia than anywhere else, with five more centuries in Australian conditions. The style of pitches suits his batting style perfectly as there is value if you play good cricketing shots.

“As soon as I knew the WC was in Australia, I was grinning from ear to ear,” Kohli said immediately after the win over Bangladesh.
