‘Tum professional cricketer hu ya joker hu’ – Fans react as Shahnawaz Dahani asks former Pakistan skipper Rashid Latif about his ODI stats

Pakistan pacer Shahnawaz Dahani doesn’t seem to be happy with his non-selection for the ODI series against Afghanistan and Asia Cup 2023. He played his last game for the senior side in ODI and T20I cricket last year. Dahani is yet to play Test matches. He recently played for Pakistan A in the Emerging Asia Cup 2023.

Apart from this, the 2021 PSL winner is playing for Dambulla Aura in the Lanka Premier League 2023. The Sindh player took to Twitter and wrote ‘Seems as if Dahani is not a Pakistani pacer’. This tweet was made in response to former Pakistan skipper Rashid Latif’s tweet that reads

Pakistan squad for Asia Cup 2023 and Afghanistan series

Openers: Abdullah Shafique, Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq

Middle order: Babar Azam (captain), Salman Ali Agha, Iftikhar Ahmed, Tayyab Tahir and Saud Shakeel (only for Afghanistan series).

Player participating in Lankan Premier League and The Hundred will join the squad directly in Sri Lanka on 18 August,” in a note written in PCB’s official release.
