Double XL appears to be a pleasant experience with a lot of potential.

Everything that is wonderful comes in size Double XL, from fries to joy. The trailer for Double XL, a clutter-busting movie that seeks to reinvent how “attractiveness” and “self-worth” are judged, was published today. The movie, which stars Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi, is scheduled to premiere in theaters on November 4th, 2022.

The slice-of-life comedic play, which Satramm Ramani directed, dispels long-held overweight stereotypes in our culture. Double XL explores the emotions of two plus-size women as they negotiate a society that frequently equates a woman’s desirability or beauty with her size in scenes set in Meerut, Delhi, and London.

According to the trailer, Double XL appears to be a wonderful experience with a lot of promise to ignite societal discussion on the topic. Huma Qureshi portrays a sports presenter, and Sonakshi Sinha assumes the role of a budding stylist. Both actors gained weight for the movie.

Along with a great ensemble cast, the movie also stars Zaheer Iqbal and Mahat Raghavendra as the male heroes, who both have the proper amount of impact.

Cricket player Shikhar Dhawan also makes his Hindi film debut in the movie, which will come as a great surprise to fans.

As director Satramm Ramani says, “This is an important film that addresses a coming-of-age subject in the most light-hearted and fun manner. Double XL was a film waiting to be made.”

Says Sonakshi Sinha, “I honestly believe that women are really going to connect with the film and relate to it on many levels. It’s unabashed, unpretentious and speaks to just about everyone.”

Adds Huma Qureshi, “What started off as a fun, casual conversation amongst friends culminated into this film. It was the best impromptu decision we made and I couldn’t be more excited. The subject excited me because it’s something that must be addressed through pop culture.”

Double XL comes to a theatre near you on 4th November 2022.
