Previously, Pathaan, the top domestic grosser at Rs 543.05 crore, reached the Rs 450 crore milestone in 18 days, while Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (Hindi) did it in 20.

Furthermore, Gadar 2 is expected to reach the Rs 500 crore mark by the end of this week, as no other film has been launched this week other than Dream Girl 2 starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday. It remains to be seen whether Gadar 2 can maintain audience attention long enough to reach the Rs 500 crore mark.

Meanwhile, despite widespread adoration, the film has become engaged in controversy, with music composer Uttam Singh recently accusing the makers of Gadar 2 of unauthorised exploitation of his work. The debate centres around two songs titled ‘Udd Ja Kaale Kaava’ and ‘Main Nikla Gaddi Leke’. According to Singh, he was not aware that these two songs would be utilised in the sequel, and he claims that giving him credit is insufficient.

Gadar 2 is the follow-up to the 2001 smash Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. Sunny Deol plays truck driver Tara Singh, and Ameesha Patel plays Sakeena, who comes from a political family in Pakistan. The film is set during India’s partition in 1947. The sequel follows Tara Singh as he crosses the border in search of his son, who has been kidnapped in Pakistan.
