Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is one of the most celebrated actors in the history of Indian cinema. His films are sort of a festival for his fans. However, in the last few years, Salman has failed to entertain audiences with his experimental movies. After a poor run, Bollywood’s Bhaijaan is set to rock at the box office.

Salman is back with Tiger 3, the first brand of YRF’s spy universe, which hit the silver screen on Sunday. The Diwali film had a great collection, making it the most successful opening for Salman Khan. With an amazing response from the audience, the film collected a whopping INR 44.50 crore at the box office. From early-morning shows to late-night films, there was a great response from fans on the opening day.

In India, the Hindi version of the franchise’s third film earned INR 43.00 crore, while in Tamil and Telugu, it earned INR 1.50 crore. Tiger 3 has achieved a historic milestone, emerging as the highest-grossing Diwali opening ever witnessed in Hindi cinema. Notably, the film has not only granted Salman Khan a remarkable start but has also secured the Tiger franchise’s most significant opening to date.

Tiger 3 receives mixed reactions from the audience

This success of Tiger 3 shatters the misconception that films released on Laxmi Puja traditionally underperform, establishing the spy thriller as a game-changer in the industry. Meanwhile, Tiger 3 has elicited a diverse range of reactions from the fans. While some laud Salman Khan for his swagger, performance, and action sequences, there exists a segment of viewers who perceive it as the weakest instalment in the franchise.

Starring Salman, Katrina Kaif, Emraan Hashmi, Revathy, Simran, and Ridhi Dogra, and directed by Maneesh Sharma, the film delves into the lives of Tiger (Salman) and Zoya (Katrina), who embarked on their journey in 2012. Now married with a son named Junior (Sartaaj), the couple faces a renewed threat posed by Aatish Rehman (Emraan), necessitating their reunion to safeguard the nation in a mission that becomes deeply personal.
