As the Indian Premier League (IPL) is down the corner, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will be looking for some miracle to happen. Like every year, the team will enter the field with some of the best batters. However, even this year, their bowling department seems weak. As the IPL will start after the conclusion of the Women’s Premier League (WPL), all the teams will be extremely excited to perform well in the 17th edition of the tournament. Moreover, former New Zealand all-rounder Collin de Grandhomme compared the RCB team to Mumbai India’s team.

In an interview with the TOI, de Grandhomme said, “RCB have never had a team as strong as Mumbai Indians where the all-round composition of the team has been excellent. RCB have a very good side, but over-dependence on two, or three players has never worked their way, which is why they have never stood out as a well-balanced side.”

RCB has reached the IPL finals thrice in the seventeen editions of the tournament. However, they have lost all three finals. When RCB qualified for the finals in 2016, Virat Kohli was in his prime form as he scored 973 runs. After having a wonderful season, the fans and the franchise were expecting their first IPL trophy. But destiny had some other plans for RCB. This time, they’ll hope for a different result throughout the tournament.

Who will win the IPL 2024?

If the teams are to be analysed, Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians are the best teams on paper. They are also the tournament favourites after winning five trophies each. However, with the return of KL Rahul to the team, the Lucknow Super Giants might have a chance to win the title as well.

Taking into consideration the team of Gujarat Titans (GT) and their new captain, Shubman Gill, GT’s chances of winning this year are less. Due to a lack of an experienced captain, GT might suffer as a team. Moreover, the Sunrisers Hyderabad team seems a bit distorted and thus, their chances of winning the finals are not so much. Lastly, the winning chances of Punjab Kings, Delhi Capitals, and RCB, like always, will depend on their luck.
