Tammannaah Bhatia, board officials and many more to grace ODI World Cup 2023 opening ceremony

In the period of every four years, the ODI World Cup always grace and entertain the fans despite changing formats. It started with eight team-format in the first few editions and some editions saw 14 to 16 teams. Meanwhile, the last two, including the upcoming one will be played with 10 teams. Ahead of the upcoming tournament, an opening ceremony, a traditional thing with the tournament will take place on October 4.

Talking about the performers and guests, Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh, legendary singer Asha Bhosle, melodious Shreya Ghoshal, current-day legend Arijit Singh, actress Tamannaah Bhatia, and star of the 2011 World Cup song Shankar Mahadevan. Pritam, composer, and singer of this World Cup’s theme song ‘Dil Jashn Bole’ will also be present.

Apart from them, all 10 captains such as Rohit Sharma (India), Babar Azam (Pakistan), Jos Buttler (England), Temba Bavuma (South Africa), Pat Cummins (Australia), Hashmatullah Shahidi (Afghanistan), Dasun Shanaka (Sri Lanka), Scott Edwards (Netherlands), Kane Williamson (New Zealand), and Shakib Al Hasan (Bangladesh) will also be present.

The ceremony will start at 7 PM (IST) at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. During the event, the board officials of different cricket boards will also be present. The tournament will start with defending champions England taking on two-time finalists (2015, 2019), New Zealand on October 5.
