Taylor Swift and SZA have bagged huge nominations ahead of the Grammys 2024. Both artists are capable of winning the Album of the Year, given the number of nominations they have. In particular, Swift would be looking to script history as she is on the brink of winning the greatest number of Grammys for an artist in the history of music.

Only three artists in the past have been able to win the Grammys three times apart from Taylor Swift – Paul Simon, Stevie Wonder, and Frank Sinatra. ‘Midnights’ has been the most impressive album of the year by Swift. It can potentially be one of the albums to win the ‘Album of the Year’ Award. Swift would also be eyeing to win the award for ‘Anti-Hero’.

It would be the first of its kind if she won the award for one of her seven nominations. Billie Eilish with ‘What was I made for?’ looks to be a formidable contender to pose a challenge. She will be the youngest to win the award thrice at the age of just 22. Jelly Roll can be the oldest winner at the age of 39 for the ‘Best New Artist’ category.

Several records could be broken at Grammys 2024

For ‘White Horse’, Chris Stapleton can become the artist with the most wins for ‘Best Country Song’ or better his record in ‘Best Country Solo Performance’. Jack Antonoff can become a rare artist to achieve ‘Big Four’, i.e., winning the award for Best Album, Song of the Year, Record, and ‘Best New Artist’. SZA can give a run for money for Taylor or end up winning the ‘Best Album of the Year’ award at the Grammys.

If either Janelle Monae or SZA managed to win the award, they would be the first Black woman to win the award in the 21st century. With her pathbreaking album ‘SOS’, SZA can be a genuine contender to win the award. She has the greatest number of nominations at nine. Many claim that Taylor can end up winning the award of the ‘Album of the Year’.
