Suresh Raina announced his retirement on Twitter.
He wrote, “It has been an absolute honor to represent my country & state UP. I would like to announce my retirement from all formats of Cricket.”
“I would like to thank BCCI, UPCA Cricket, Chennai IPL, Shukla Rajiv sir & all my fans for their support and unwavering faith in my abilities.”

In 2020, Raina announced his retirement from international cricket.
His announcement had come in less than an hour after MS Dhoni had announced retirement his on 15 August.
He continued playing the IPL in 2021 but was released by Chennai Super Kings ahead of the 2022 season
Suresh Raina played his last competitive game in October 2021 when he played for CSK against Rajasthan Royals in Abu Dhabi.
Since there is a rule that an active international or domestic player can’t play T20 leagues around the world, this decision will allow Raina to explore more.
