The trailer kicks off with a gripping scene between Anil Kapoor and Ranbir, where Anil portrays Ranbir’s father in the film. As the trailer unfolds, Ranbir’s versatility as an actor shines through. Yet again, Bobby Deol, the actor who garnered significant attention for stealing the spotlight in last month’s teaser, has become the focal point of discussions. His compelling expression, even without uttering a word, has once more captured headlines. T-Series officially announced “Animal” on January 1, 2021, unveiling a video that featured cast members Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Parineeti Chopra, with Sandeep Reddy Vanga as the director.

I was really drawn to the script of Animal: Ranbir Kapoor

Despite earlier reports suggesting Tripti Dimri’s involvement in the movie, she was conspicuously absent in the entire trailer. In March 2022, it was disclosed that Rashmika Mandanna took over the role initially intended for Parineeti Chopra, who opted for Imtiaz Ali’s Chamkila instead of Animal. Rashmika has been cast as Geetanjali, Ranbir’s wife. Ranbir recently discussed the reasons behind his choice to take on a project with intense and violent themes.

“Well, to be honest, I was really drawn to the script of Animal. It’s a unique and intense story that immediately caught my attention. As for watching Arjun Reddy or Kabir Singh, I must admit that I did watch both films and found them to be incredibly powerful and impactful. However, my decision to accept Animal was not solely based on those films. It was more about the script, the character, and the opportunity to work with Sandeep Reddy Vanga.” Ranbir was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.
