In a surprising turn of events, Kangana Ranaut took to her Instagram stories to shower praise on actor Vikrant Massey for his performance in the film “12th Fail.” The actress not only commended Massey’s acting skills but also drew a comparison between him and the late Irrfan Khan, expressing her admiration for the movie.

In her Instagram story, Kangana shared a poster of “12th Fail” and expressed her emotional reaction to the film, saying, “What a terrific film. Coming from Hindi myself, belonging to a rural village, and being a general caste student for entry tests without reservations in my school years, I was weeping throughout the film.” Kangana’s emotional connection to the movie was evident, as she admitted to crying profusely during a flight, causing concern among her fellow passengers.

The actress didn’t stop there; she also lauded filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra, who directed “12th Fail.” Kangana wrote in her story, “Vidhu sir has won my heart all over again. Vikrant Massey is beyond amazing!! In the coming years, he might just fill the void Irrfan Khan Saab left behind. Salutations to your talent, dear one.”

Kangana had called Vikrant Massey a cockroach

The film “12th Fail,” directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, revolves around UPSC aspirants and is based on real-life experiences. It sheds light on the challenges faced by students attempting the UPSC entrance exam and follows the journey of Manoj Kumar Sharma, portrayed by Vikrant Massey, who overcame poverty to become an IPS officer.

It’s worth noting that Kangana Ranaut’s praise for Vikrant Massey comes after a past incident where she referred to him as a ‘cockroach.’ This happened when Vikrant playfully called his friend Yami Gautam ‘Radhe Maa’ during her wedding, leading to Kangana expressing her annoyance on Instagram.

Despite the earlier incident, Kangana’s recent Instagram stories reveal a change in sentiment, showcasing her appreciation for Vikrant Massey’s talent. Meanwhile, Kangana is gearing up for her next film, “Emergency,” where she will portray former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, marking her official solo directorial debut.
