Steven Gerrard is reportedly being considered for a stunning move to become PSG’s next manager.

The former Rangers boss has been added to the French heavyweights’ shortlist to replace Christophe Galtier as club hierarchy grow weary of results.

PSG lead Ligue 1 by five points but the Express claim the board remain “frustrated” with their manager and performances.

Galtier, who only joined the club in the summer as a replacement for Mauricio Pochettino, has the Parisians top of Ligue 1 and well on course to win their ninth title in 11 seasons.

However, they were knocked out of the French Cup by Marseille.

They performances haven’t been convincing and they made a mess of last weekend’s match against Lille, with Lionel Messi getting them out of trouble deep in injury time.

They also lost 0-1 to Bayern Munich in the home game of the 1st leg of the UEFA League Round of 16.

Gerrard has been out of work since being sacked by Aston Villa in October.

The 42-year-old managed only 13 wins from 40 games in charge during an 11-month spell at Villa Park, having joined the club from Rangers in 2021.

However, as per reports, the club’s Qatari owners are interested in Gerrard, seeing him as a high profile figure from the world of football who could improve them next season.

If true, it would represent a remarkable turnaround for Gerrard.
