Shocking! Bayern’s Manuel Neuer had cancer
In a shocking revelation, Bayern Munich and Germany captain Manuel Neuer revealed that he has undergone three operations for skin cancer.
This prompted him to team up with women’s tennis star, Angelique Kerber.
Neuer and Kerber jointly founded the company Deutsche Cosmetics Works AG, or DKW for short.
From November, the two will be launching skin care and sun protection products.
Neuer revealed, “We both have a personal history with regard to skin diseases.”
“Angelique has had sun-related hyperpigmentation and I have had skin cancer on my face for which I have had to undergo surgery three times.”
“That’s why we don’t compromise on sun protection, we train outdoors and we also like to spend our free time outdoors.”
In 2021, there had already been speculation about a possible skin disease when Neuer was seen with a bandage on his face.
The cancer has so far had no sporting consequences for Neuer.
However, he is now recovering from shoulder problems that have kept him out of Bayern’s recent matches.
