The cricket world in in shock!

After the demise of Aussie wicket keeping legend, the world woke up to the shattering news of the demise of the greatest leggie ever – Shane Warne.

The spin legend was just 52 years of age.

As per reports, he suffered a cardiac arrest on Friday night in Thailand.

“Shane was found unresponsive in his villa and despite the best efforts of medical staff, he could not be revived.”

“The family requests a privacy at this time and will provide further details in due course,”his family said in a statement.

It is worth noting that in September last year, Shane Warne was put on a ventilator after being diagnosed with Covid-19.

He is amongst hundreds of sportspersons (former and current included) to have suffered cardiac arrest after recovering from the virus.

Considered one of the greatest of cricket, Shane Warne bagged 708 Test wickets in 145 matches and 293 wickets in 194 ODIs.

Former cricketers were quick to pay tributes to the Aussie great on social media.
