Shaakuntalam starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Dev Mohan is based on the famous play ‘Abhijnanashakuntalam’ by Kalidasa.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s film Shaakuntalam has been in the news ever since it was announced. Now the actress herself has finally announced a release date for the mythological drama.

Sharing the news on her social media accounts, she posted a poster of the film featuring her and Dev Mohan with the caption “November 4 it is.” along with a white heart emoji.

Samantha looks ethereal in the role of Queen Shakuntala, wife of King Dushyant played by Dev Mohan. Shaakuntalam is adapted from the Indian play ‘Abhijnanashakuntalam’ written by the renowned poet Kalidasa. Apart from Telugu, the movie will be consequently released in Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil and Hindi.

Actress Raashii Khanna depicted all of our feelings when she commented ‘beauty’ on the post. Fans have gushing over the actress and showering love on her in the form of too many red heart and fire emojis.

Earlier this year, Samantha Ruth Prabhu shared the first poster of the film wherein she looks like a vision in white, full of grace and surrounded by deers, birds etc. For the caption she wrote “Presenting…Nature’s beloved…The ethereal and demure…”Shakuntala” from Shaakuntalam.”

Shaakuntalam also marks the debut of Allu Arha, Allu Arjun’s daughter. The starkid will be playing the role of Prince Bharata. At the time of announcement of this news Allu Arjun said, “A proud moment for the Allu family to announce that the fourth generation, Allu Arha will be making her debut with Shaakuntalam movie.

I want to thank Gunasekhar garu and Neelima Guna garu for giving my daughter this beautiful movie as her debut… I had an altogether different journey with Samantha and am happy to watch Arha debut with her movie.”
