Sanju Samson has been in and out of the Indian team quite sometimes but the upcoming T20 World Cup might change that.

After being out of the race to win the Asia Cup 2022, India is gearing up for the T20 World cup. With the World cup just a month away, teams have started announcing their squads for the same. England, Australia, Netherlands, and South Africa have already announced their squads.

Additionally, the BCCI is expected to announce the Team India squad for T20 World Cup sometime later tonight.

Even though a few names are already decided, discussions are still undergoing. If newly emerged reports are to be believed Sanju Samson will most likely be included in the T20 World Cup 2022. The wicketkeeper and batsman who missed the T20 World Cup in 2021, will most likely make the squad this year.

Even though Sanju Samson missed playing in the home series against South Africa despite displaying a good game in IPL 2022, Samson was named in the squad for Ireland tour. The wicketkeeper-batter scored 77 runs in the only match that he played.

Sanju was also a part of the Indian Squad for the 1st T20I against England but unfortunately did not have a chance in the playing 11.

Based on his amazing game against Ireland, he was selected for the West Indies tour but sadly failed to make a mark as he scored only 45 runs collectively in 2 matches. Furthermore, he also played in 3 ODIs and scored 72 runs in 3 innings.

Sanju also accompanied the team in Zimbabwe where he scored 58 runs in 2 innings of 3 matches which included a match-winning 43*

When the BCCI announces the Team India Squad for T20 World cup 2022 tonight, we will know Sanju Samson’s position for sure.
