‘Sab moh maya hai’ – Fans react as Global air charter services arrange special flight for Virat Kohli from West Indies to India

Virat Kohli, who was a part of the Test and ODI squad for India’s tour of the West Indies, flew back home in a special private flight arranged by Global Air charter services. He is next be seen in the Asia Cup ODI 2023, starting August 30. Kohli’s time in the Caribbean was productive and memorable. Although he did not get the opportunity to bat in either of the three ODIs, he registered his 30^th Test century in his 500^th international game which was the second Test in Trinidad. Moreover, he looked in tremendous form in the two Tests, scoring 76 and 121, respectively.

Talking of the results, India won the two-match Test series 1-0, having won the first game at Windsor Park, Dominica, and drawing the second Test at the Kensington Oval in Port of Spain, Trinidad. They also clinched the ODI series 2-1 after suffering a shock defeat in the second game at Barbados. However, they bounced back for a massive 200-run win in the decider ODI at Trinidad. Following the game acting skipper Hardik Pandya extensively thanked Virat Kohli for his inputs.

“I had a very wonderful chat with Virat a couple of days back, and the kind of input he gave me, he has seen me throughout the years. It’s been almost seven or eight years of international cricket and he has seen me from day one. He just wanted me to spend some time at the crease and get used to the 50-over game. He had some great pointers. That kind of stayed in my mind,” Pandya said after the game.

Following the wins in the first two formats, the Indian Team will now turn their heads to the concluding series which is a five-game T20I series. A few games will also take place in Florida, stretching team India’s tour to the USA. Hardik Pandya is set to captain the team for these five matches with youngsters and a few new faces getting their chances in a second-string team.
