The Global T20 League in Canada reached its conclusion with the Montreal Tigers and the Surrey Jaguars clashing in the final at Brampton. The Tigers won the toss and elected to field first. They dropped an expert bowling performance to restrict the Jaguars to 130/5 in 20 overs. Openers Mohammad Haris with 23 off 22 and Jatinder Singh with 56 off 57 remained the key contributors upfront. Ayaan Khan’s quickfire 26 off 15, including two massive sixes helped the score for the Jaguars. For the Tigers, Aayan Afzal Khan remained the pick of the bowlers with figures of 2/21 in four overs. At the same time, Carlos Brathwaite, Abbas Afridi, and Andre Russell returned with one wicket each.

In reply, the Tigers chased the target down in a final-ball thriller. They lost their opener Muhammad Waseem for a three-ball duck.
