Ritika Sajdeh has reacted to Mark Boucher’s statement on MI’s decision to change their captain for the IPL 2024. Rohit Sharma’s wife took to Instagram and posted a comment on the post mentioning Boucher’s opinion on MI’s transition phase. The former SA player claimed the move of MI to change the captain was a purely cricketing decision.

In his statement, the former WK batter of South Africa added that MI got their former player back through the trade window and felt that it was a transition phase. “I think it was purely a cricketing decision. We saw the window period to get Hardik back as a player. For me it’s a transition phase,” said Boucher. He further added that people in India often get emotional.

Boucher claimed that the fans did not understand the transition phase and felt that there must be a view without emotions being involved. “A lot of people don’t understand in India, people get quite emotional. But you know you take the emotions away from it,” Boucher added. The former SA batter added that it would bring the best out of Rohit as a batter.

Ritika Sajdeh’s comments on Mark Boucher’s statement

Boucher felt that Rohit getting rid of captaincy would enable him to go and express himself in the middle as a pure batter. The statement of the former SA cricketer did not seem to go with the wife of Rohit. She took to Instagram and wrote “So many things wrong with this.” The comment of Ritika has now gone viral on the internet as the fans are divided over her opinion. MI got Hardik Pandya via trade for INR 15 crores.

In turn, they named him the captain of the side for the IPL 2024, a decision that has not gone well with the fans of Rohit. There was a decrease in the number of followers of MI on social media platforms. For the first time since 2013, MI will be led by a skipper other than Sharma for an entire season. MI would be hoping to win their 6th IPL title.
