Reviews for Marvel’s Werewolf by Night

Werewolf by Night is a special based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name on Disney + Hotstar.

Gael Garcia Bernal plays Jack Russell in the film Werewolf by Night, a well-dressed guy who is part of a group of monster hunters that have assembled for a ritual hunt after the passing of their leader.

According to IGN, if you love classic horror movies and characters, this one is for you. It pays a suave tribute to the yesteryear horror movies from the 1930s – 40s with it being shot in black and white, usage of retro props etc. Its far from your usual marvel movie and that’s what makes it so good.

This show is nostalgic and fresh at the same time. It gives you all the feels of old horror movies and there is gore for all those slasher fans out there. Werewolf by Night is Marvel’s attempt at exploring the dark side of the MCU.

Final verdict? Watch this show without fail.

Collider says, this show is “A Marvel Fan’s Gateway Drug Into Horror.” Both Disney and Marvel have never directly delved into the horror genre but this series changes that. Disney and Marvel are surely serving for the upcoming Halloween season. Werewolf by Night or Jack Russell is one character that hasn’t been explored since long but Director Michael Giacchino changed that and how.

Right from the beginning of this 52 min special, fans can see that the inspiration has been drawn from the Universal horror movies from the 1940s as Universal ruled the Horror genre at that time. Fog, a haunted manor, supernatural creatures are just some of the ingredients of this spooky cauldron stirred by Marvel.

If these reviews weren’t convincing enough, look what the audience has to say.

Werewold by Night is streaming exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar. Watch it this weekend with the lights off, if you dare.
