Renowned TV serial actor Rituraj Singh’s sudden demise leaves industry in shock
Rituraj Singh who gained his fame due to his versatile acting in a certain turn of events has passed away due to cardiac arrest. The news was confirmed early on Tuesday morning by Amit Behl to the Indian Express.
The actor is known for being part of movies like Badrinath ki Dulhaniya and Satyameva Jayate. He was also seen with Ajith Kumar in the Tamil Movie Thunivu while Yaariyan 2 marked his final performance on the big screen.
Considered a huge name in the TV industry, Rituraj Singh also ventured into the OTT platform. The versatile actor played the role of Rafeeq in the series Indian Police Force on Amazon Prime. Siddharth Malhotra, Vivek Oberoi, and Shilpa Shetty were the main cast in the series directed by Rohit Shetty.
TV Industry in shock after Rituraj Singh’s death –
Actor Amit Behl confirmed with the Indian Express about the passing of Rituraj Singh. The actor was 59 years old and was suffering from a prolonged illness. The untimely death is being attributed to cardiac arrest early on Tuesday 20th February 2024.
This is what Amit Behl said to the Indian Express, “He was unwell. Was hospitalised 15 days back due to some pancreatic issues. Was back home a few days back, but yesterday was feeling really weak and they rushed him to the hospital, but, he got the attack before reaching the hospital.”
Yet another actor Sandip Sikhand also expressed his shock over the news to the Indian Express. “I am shocked and heartbroken on hearing the news. Someone posted the news on one of my WhatsApp groups early in the morning and since I have just been in shock. I have worked closely with Ritu in Kahani Ghar Ghar Kii, he was one of the only actors who gave me a warm welcome on the show. To say that he was a brilliant actor is an obvious thing, but more than an actor he was one of the finest human beings that I know. I am really saddened by the news. May his soul rest in peace and may his wife and kids get the strength to deal with this loss.”
It is well known that Rituraj Singh was an old friend of Shah Rukh Khan from their theatre days. Although the two have never shared screen space Rituraj Singh has always praised the Indian icon for his acting skills. It is a huge loss for the TV industry and the fans of Rituraj Singh who have seen his journey through the years.
