In a surprising turn of events, news broke yesterday announcing the supposed demise of Poonam Pandey at the age of 32 due to cervical cancer. The official announcement came from her social media team, who posted on her Instagram handle, stating, “This morning is a tough one for us. I am deeply saddened to inform you that we have lost our beloved Poonam to cervical cancer. Every living being that ever came into contact with her was met with pure love and kindness.”

The entire nation was left in shock, but earlier this morning, Poonam revealed that it was a well-thought-out campaign to raise awareness about cervical cancer. Taking to her Instagram handle, she wrote, “I feel compelled to share something significant with you all – I am here, alive. Cervical Cancer didn’t claim me, but tragically, it has claimed the lives of thousands of women who stemmed from a lack of knowledge on how to tackle this disease. Unlike some other cancers, Cervical Cancer is entirely preventable. The key lies in the HPV vaccine and early detection tests. We have the means to ensure no one loses their life to this disease. Let’s empower one another with critical awareness and ensure every woman is informed about the steps to take. Together, let’s strive to put an end to the devastating impact of the disease and bring.”

‘Bahut Gaaliyan Pad Rahi Hai’

In a recorded audio call, Rakhi expresses her disappointment to Poonam for faking her death. Poonam clarifies that she had signed a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) with an NGO and was not allowed to share about it, as legal action could have been taken against her.

Pandey further mentions that she has not received money for the cause and discloses that her mother also passed away due to cancer. Reacting to this, Sawant expresses being ‘upset’ upon hearing about her death on Thursday.

After Poonam announced that she is ‘alive,’ Rakhi took to her Instagram handle and shared a video reacting to the news. She said, “Aise kaun publicity karta hai marne ka?”
