‘Raato raat fit ho gaya?’ – Fans react as reports claim Hardik Pandya fit to lead India in T20I series against Afghanistan

There has been a difference in reporting of some of the sources about the fitness of some of the players. Particularly with Hardik Pandya, it has not been unanimous. Some reports claimed that he might not be available for the series against Afghanistan, and in fact in the IPL 2024 as well. Quite contrary to it, the latest reports claim that he is fit to play against Afghanistan.

The latest reports claim that Pandya might lead India in the T20I series against Afghanistan. It was in the ODI WC 2023 that the star player sustained a crucial injury that ruled him out of some of the matches of the tournament initially, and then from the entire tournament. In the absence of Hardik, Prasidh Krishna was called as a replacement.

In the absence of Yadav, there needed to be a replacement to lead India in the T20I series. Reports claim it to be Pandya.

In the match against Bangladesh, Hardik was bowling an over in Pune. In an attempt to stop the ball from travelling towards the boundary ropes, Hardik twisted his ankles. The star All-rounder expressed severe pain and was carried off. In his absence, Virat Kohli completed the overs. India played Mohammed Shami and Suryakumar since then. Hardik is likely to be back in the series against Afghanistan.
