The 20-year-old Mohammed Haris and Hazratullah Zazai set the platform for a big score with their excellent opening stand for Peshawar Zalmi.

Karachi Kings displayed another poor performance both with the bat and ball.

Another game and another loss, this has been the story of Karachi Kings throughout this PSL season.

They have lost 6 out of 6 games so far in this tournament and their chances of qualifying for the playoffs are almost dead.

They are looking confused and failing in all departments of the game.

Karachi bowled, fielded, and batted poorly in today’s match.

Babar Azam scored yet another fifty but it didn’t help his side because his strike rate was very low for the situation.

Peshawar scored 193 runs in the first innings due to some brilliant batting performances from their openers.

Hazratullah Zazai and Mohammed Haris gave a wonderful start to Peshawar Zalmi that set the tone for a big score.

They shared 97 runs between them from just 60 balls.

Zazai scored 52 runs from 42 balls but his partner Mohammed Haris was more aggressive with his 49 runs that came off just 27 deliveries.

Shoaib Malik (31 off 21) and Ben Cutting (26 off 15) played important cameos to put a 190 plus score on the board.

Chris Jordan was the leading wicket-taker for Karachi Kings with figures of 3-41.

It was a very disappointing chase from Karachi Kings as none of their batters was looking to take the game away from Peshawar Zalmi.

Even Babar didn’t show any intent despite his fifty.

The start was very slow from both openers as Karachi only scored 33 runs from the powerplay.

Sharjeel Khan lost his wicket in the 5th over after scoring only 14 runs off 16 balls.

Karachi Kings scored only 60 runs from the first 10 overs.

Joe Clarke also scored run a ball 26 runs.

Wahab Riaz and Salman Irshad picked up 2 wickets each to lead Peshawar Zalmi in a comfortable 55 run victory.

Magnificent start from Mohammed Haris

Mohammed Haris sparkled with an incredible knock in the first match of his PSL career.

The 20-year-old Haris was picked in place of the experienced Kamran Akmal and he proved the decision right with his outstanding performance.

He was more aggressive than Zazai and played shots all around the ground.

Haris scored 49 runs from just 27 balls including 3 fours and 4 superb sixes.

He was also given the Player of the award for his brave batting performance.
