PSL: Sultans beat Quetta, became the 1st team to win batting first this season
Multan Sultans registered their third consecutive victory of this season by defeating the Quetta Gladiators by 6 runs.
Shan Masood played another magnificent knock to put 174 runs on the board for his side.
Khushdil, Willey, and Tahir picked up 3 wickets each to restrict the Gladiators batting lineup 6 runs short of the target.

The current table toppers and defending champions, Multan Sultans registered their third successive win this season and became the only team to win a match after batting first.
Despite Rizwan’s rare duck in T20s, Multan posted 174 runs on the board due to Shan Masood’s brilliant knock of 88 runs.
The part-timer Khushdil Shah opened the bowling attack and surprisingly he picked up 3 wickets and he was also the most economical bowler of the match.
Imran Tahir claimed 3 wickets in the middle order while David Willey finished the lower order to complete their victory by just 6 runs.
Shan Masood’s brilliant knock
Shan Masood is mostly known as a Test player but he is proving himself in the shorter format with his excellent batting performance.
He has scored two successive 80 plus runs knock in the last two games.
Masood smashed 88 runs off just 58 balls including 4 sixes and 6 fours.
He helped his side to reach a respectable total after the early departure of Mohammed Rizwan.
He shared partnerships of 50, 46, and 42 runs with Maqsood, Rossouw, and David respectively.
Both Maqsood and Rossouw scored only 21 runs each while Tim David remained unbeaten on 28 runs off just 16 balls including 2 sixes and a four.
The part-timer, Khushdil Shah shines
Khushdil Shah surprisingly started the bowling for Multan Sultans and he also dismissed both the in-form Quetta openers within the powerplay.
He then picked up the big wicket of Sarfaraz Ahmad to end his figures on 3-16 in his 4 overs.
Imran Tahir’s 3 wicket haul
The star leg spinner Imran Tahir also picked up 3 wickets to get rid of the middle-order.
He dismissed Ben Duckett to end his partnership with the skipper Sarfaraz Ahmad.
Ben Duckett was the top scorer for Quetta Gladiators in this match, he scored 47 runs off just 32 balls.
On the very next delivery, Imran Tahir bowled out the younger Ashir Qureshi for a duck to get two-into-two wickets.
M Nawaz was his 3rd wicket as he got caught and bowled on his second delivery.
David Willey ended the match by picking 3 wickets for just 22 runs from his 4 overs.
8 runs were required in the last over but Willey defended the total and conceded only 1 run from his last over.
