PSL: Jason Roy’s amazing ton seals Quetta win

Jason Roy announced himself in the tournament with an unbelievable hundred that allowed Quetta to chase down a huge target of 205 runs.

The world-class bowling lineup of Lahore Qalandars failed against the stunning power-hitting of Jason Roy.

Lahore tried their best and dragged the game into the last before scoring 204 runs in the first innings.

Lahore Qalandars were unlucky today as they were on the receiving end of a master class knock from Jason Roy.

After his dismissal, Qalandars tried their best to make a comeback but Vince and Nawaz finished the game with their fine cameos.

Vince remained just not out on 49 runs while M Nawaz smashed a six in the last over to get his side over the line.

Nawaz remained unbeaten on 25 runs off just 12 balls including 2 sixes and a four. 

Earlier the Lahore Qalandars scored 204 runs from their 20 overs with the loss of only 5 wickets.

Fakhar scored another half-century while Harry Brook and David Weise’s excellent partnership, in the end, allowed the Qalandars to cross the 200 runs mark.

Harry Brook scored an unbeaten 41 runs off just 17 balls including 4 fours and 2 sixes.

He smashed 24 runs from Luke Wood’s 2nd last over of the innings.

David Weise also remained not out on 22 runs off just 9 balls. 

Jason Roy’s outstanding Ton 

Jason Roy played one of the best T20 innings of all time.

He smashed the ball all around the ground.

It was his first game of the season and also, his first century in PSL.

His knock of 116 runs off just 57 balls included 11 fours and 8 sixes.

Quetta Gladiators was under pressure with just one victory in the tournament so far.

However, this hundred from Jason Roy has released all the pressure and Quetta has now moved on to fourth place on the points table due to their second victory of this tournament.

Fakhar’s hot form continues

Fakhar Zaman also scored another superb half-century this season.

He played an important knock for his side to give them a good start to their innings.

This was the 4th half-century for Fakhar Zaman in PSL 7 and he is currently the highest run-scorer of this season so far.

He scored 70 runs off just 57 balls to give a decent start to his side.

His knock included 3 fours and 3 sixes.
