Predictions for 3rd ODI: England vs India
The 3rd ODI match between England and India will be played on 17th July at Old Trafford, Manchester.
After failing to seal a series-clinching victory in the second ODI, India will be determined to win the decider match of the series.
Current form
The bowlers once again did a fairly good job with the ball in the first innings to restrict England to a modest total.
However, the batting department that let the team down.
The top order including Rohit, Dhawan, Kohli and Pant collapsed like a pack of cards and were back in the pavilion within the first 10 overs.
A major headache for India is the poor form of Virat Kohli who looks short of confidence, despite skipper Rohit Sharma backing him publicly.
Shikhar Dhawan who is playing in the blue jersey after several months also looked rout-of-sorts.
On the other hand, the English side will be charged up and ready to repeat their heroics once again.
Their batters have struggled in both the ODIs. It’s their lower order consisting of Moeen Ali and Willey that managed to score nearly 100 runs and post a fighting total in the last match.
The bowlers then did an incredible job as they managed to bowl out an in-form Indian batting order for a mere 146 runs.
Reece Topley was sensational as he picked up a 6-wicket haul to destroy the famed Indian batting line-up.
