After the Asia Cup 2023, the Pakistan Cricket Board and the team have been in an absolute mess. There was a time in the tournament when they announced their playing XI a night before a game. However, after losing to India and Sri Lanka, the Green Brigade crashed out of the tournament’s final game. Since then, the board and players have been facing criticism.

After the 228-run loss against India, the team has been facing massive criticism. Things have become so worse that four days ahead of their scheduled travel to India (September 25), the team is yet to be announced. Meanwhile, a probable squad has been reported in the media. It is similar to the one from the Asia Cup 2023. However, some changes have been made.

Players such as Imad Wasim and Hassan Ali might be considered. The former hasn’t been able to play much for the Green Brigade since the T20 World Cup 2021 semifinal loss. On the other hand, Ali has also been in and out of the team for some time.

Pakistan’s probable 15-member squad for the World Cup 2023:

Babar Azam(C), Imam-ul-Haq, Fakhar Zaman, Abdullah Shafiq, Salman Ali Agha, Iftikhar Ahmed, Saud Shakeel, Mohammad Rizwan(wk), Mohammad Nawaz/Imad Wasim, Shadab Khan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, Hassan Ali, and Zaman Khan.
