In the second semifinal of the ongoing Emerging Asia Cup 2023, Bangladesh and India locked horns for the second spot in the final. During this game, Pakistan won against Sri Lanka in the first semifinal that was played alternatively.

Meanwhile, batting first, the Men In Blue struggled with the bat as they were reduced to 137/7. At this stage, skipper Yash Dhull stood up and scored a fifty and took the team to a fighting total of 211 all-out. With the ball, India had no choice but to bowl Bangladesh out to win the game and play the summit clash against their arch-rivals.

However, the Green Brigade had a great start as they scored 70 runs for the first wicket. Manav Suthar managed to break through and this started the process of wickets falling at regular intervals. Sarkar batted at number six against opening the batting in the senior side. He was caught at slips by Nikin Jose off Yuvrajsinh Dodiya. After this, another player from the Indian camp started celebrating in front of Sarkar which the Bangladesh international didn’t like.

The latter quipped that he is just celebrating. On the other hand, skipper Yash Dhull and Sai Sudarshan ensured that the fire was doused. Talking about the game, India won the game by 60 runs, making their place in the final.
