New Zealand pacer Trent Boult has been the nemesis of the India Cricket Team over the last few years. In the last encounter in the ODI World Cup between both teams, he took the wickets of Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja. Both wickets proved costly for the Men In Blue as they lost the game and their World Cup 2019 winning dreams were shattered.

Meanwhile, ahead of the ongoing game, Boult said that “I couldn’t think of a better place than Dharamshala Stadium to take on the host nation, team India”.

Meanwhile, talking about the game, the Asian side has won the toss and elected to bowl first. Apparently, both teams wanted to bowl first, citing due in the second innings of the ongoing game.

Rohit Sharma, India captain: “No particular reason. In training yesterday we thought dew came in early. Good pitch, shouldn’t change too much. (Unbeaten so far) Important to keep momentum going and forget the past. We know the nature of the WC – all teams can beat anyone. (Dharamsala conditions) This is one place everyone wants to come and play. Pictureseque. (Injury issues) No Hardik. Shardul also misses out. Shami and Suryakumar are in.

Notably, the left-arm pacer is playing his fifth back-to-back games in the ongoing tournament.

Tom Latham, NZ stand-in capt: “We would’ve bowled first as well due to the dew. (Unbeaten run) We have built a bit of momentum and we have tried to apply our game plan. Want to adapt as quick as we can to these new conditions. Can’t afford to put guard down, anyone can beat anyone. (Combination) Same team.”

India XI: Rohit, Gill, Kohli, Iyer, Rahul, Suryakumar, Jadeja, Shami, Kuldeep, Siraj, Bumrah.

New Zealand XI: Conway, Young, Ravindra, Latham, Mitchell, Phillips, Chapman, Santner, Henry, Ferguson, Boult.
